Hitachi TV doesn't need remote, just wave hands to controlGesture control is what many gadget makers are equipping their gadgets with. Hitachi is no exceptional, currently working with Canesta and GestureTek for a new line of television that will be able to recognize the user’s hand gestures.

Using hand gestures to control the TV set eliminates the need of remote control. This of course provides more handiness to the users which waving of hands only allows you to operate the TV. No more fighting for remote control among couple and family members. And also no more misplace of TV remote control.

Necktie made out of old cassette tapes, you can even listen to it

Obsolete gadgets can be recycled and turned into our userful household and wearable items, such as those coasters and cufflinks. A new kind of fabric called the Sonic Fabric which is made from 50% colored thread and 50% recorded audio cassette tape. And this fabric has been used to make some neckties, which can carry some tunes and you can even listen to the tunes on the neckties.

ROPID is another Japanese robot, that has been added with more cute elements, good communication skills and mobility. The ROPID was developed by Tomotaka Takahashi of Robo Garage at Kyoto University, is tiny in size, and able to respond to voice commands and speak with its mouth moving to present its cuteness.
