Hands-on review of Motorola RAZR 2 V8

May 28th, 2007 by ketyung

Hands-on review of Motorola RAZR 2 V8
Everybody is probably pretty excited to know the new cell phone line-up of Motorola, the RAZR 2. At least to know the difference between the original RAZR and the RAZR 2. Thanks to MobileBurn, which they’ve just had a hands-on review about the prototype of a Motorola RAZR 2 V8. The obvious differences between the first generation and second generation V8 are the massive external display and the lack of an antenna bulge, or chin, on the newer V8.

April 13th, 2007 by ketyung

Dealighted.com, best gadgets deals searcher
It’s pretty taxing to find the best deal when coming to hunting goods online. As you know, there are tons of e-commerce online stores and forums over the Internet, which are all having similar products but different prices. When coming to buying things online, we’ll surely wanna find the best deal, but it’s pretty taxing to jump from one online store to another or poke around several forums looking for users’ comments. If you do this all by yourself manually, you’ll end up of having to stick in front of your PC’s monitor for long hours, till you get scolded by your wife or GF. It’s pretty handy that you have one great tool that serves as the central repository for all the best deals that can be found online.

Samsung UpStage’s screen simply too small? No, it’s a two-faced!

March 27th, 2007 by ketyung

Samsung UpStage, two faced phone! At the first look, you’ll probably think the Samsung’s new phone, UpStage, its screen is simply not up to par, too small! But turn it over, it’s got a bigger one. That shows the concern of Samsung, which thinks of having one screen for today’s cell phone users is simply not enough. I’d like to call this a “two-faced” phone, since it’s got a smaller LCD on one side and a bigger one , 2.1″ on the other side.

Cellphone catchup: Sony Ericsson W880

March 17th, 2007 by ketyung

Sony Ericsson W880
The Sony Ericsson W880 is nothing new here, it was out in February, but I missed to include it on this blog. I’m now posting it here, as my fiancee and I managed to catch this phone at one of the phone shops that we visited today. And it’s now in her wish list. This phone other than its walkman phone features, the most worth mention is its ultra silm form factor. When it was in my hand, it’s just like a super slim candy bar. And this is the main factor that makes itself into my fiancee’s wish list. The front panel is made of brushed aluminum, but this is something that I don’t like that much. As having the aluminium front panel makes it look pretty square overall. It measures 103 x 47 x 9.4 mm and weighs only 71 g.

March 9th, 2007 by ketyung

Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-G1 digital camera
Sony’s been showing off some new digital cameras in its product lines. I’ve been a bit late of doing any catch-up. But at least, we need to look at this, the Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-G1 digital camera. A digital camera, first in its product line, which allows transmission or sharing of images wirelessly to other cameras and PCs. It uses Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) technology to share and transmit photos to other DLNA-compatible electronic devices wirelessly.

Samsung i7 camera. Pointless having a rotating LCD?

February 1st, 2007 by ketyung

Samsung i7
The new digital camera of Samsung’s, the i7, is not only a camera. It’s both the combination of a digital camera and a portable media player (PMP). As a digital camera, it features 7.2 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, a maximum ISO of 1600, and advanced shake reduction (ASR). As a PMP, it features a 3-inch LCD screen that can rotate 180º, the ability to record and play SVGA-quality MPEG-4 videos, and, of course, MP3 playback.

Something is puzzling here, i.e why there is a need for a rotating LCD? Isn’t it turning the entire gadget aslo getting the same effect? To me, Samsung’s product is always well-known of innovative and stylish design. My first guess is the rotating effect will give a bit of robotic-motion feeling to you. Perhaps, once you have a light push on the LCD itself or just press a button, it will rotate and give you a slow-motion or robotic kind of movement. Well, we’re now in the robotic era, that’s how the Korean company stay innovative in the gadgets line.
