iPhone 5 likely to be completely redesigned and launch in fall 2012

Rumors for the iPhone 5 have surfaced again. Now BGR claim that they’ve got some tips from pretty reliable sources, indicating the iPhone 5 to be launched sometime in fall 2012. And it’ll be a completely redesigned device.

It’s also said that the iPhone 5 could pack a larger 4-inch screen which is 0.5 inches larger than previos generations of iPhone. And the iPhone 5 would likely feature an aluminum case that’s similar to what the iPad 2 has.

It’s also said that Apple will use the same plastic material similar to the one used for their bumper cases to be built into the next-gen iPhone case. This material will also be used as a bezel surrounding the front edge of the phone (like the bezel of iPhone 3GS), allowing it to serve two purposes. First, it will join the glass iPhone face with a new aluminum back plate. It will also cover a redesigned antenna system that surrounds the device, allowing Apple to build the rear case out of aluminum without having to use a large plastic insert above the antennas as the company does on its iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G. Anyway, all these are just rumors.
