
The Verizon iPhone 4 was previously rumored to be a dual-radio phone (GSM+CDMA), but unfortunately it was only a CDMA phone. But chances are that the next Apple device coming to Verizon, presumably to be the iPhone 5, would likely be a world phone with both radios.
A Verizon executive has accidentally confirmed that the next Apple device of the carrier would come with both GSM and CDMA radios and be global phone that you can use on any networks. There are also words about 11 millions of iPhones should ship on Verizon in 2011 and a possibility of Apple using a Qualcomm Gobi chip in its iPhone 5.
Other rumors that have surfaced recently about the iPhone 5 including the September ship date, having an 8-megapixel camera and using the dual-core 1GHz Apple A5 processor from the iPad 2.
