The FIFA World Cup 2010 had just ended last Sunday. If you haven’t had enough, you can now play your own soccer on your iPhone 4 by using an iPhone app called ARFootball. The ARFootball uses augmented reality to let you play soccer on the iPhone 4 with your feet. The use of augmented reality allows the app to superimpose what is being captured by the iPhone’s camera with the game play shown by the app on the iPhone screen.
Basically the iPhone’s camera captures the actions of your feet, and superimposes your actions with a virtual ball presented on the screen of the iPhone. So, while you’re holding the iPhone down towards your feet and kicking, you’re actually controlling or juggling the virtual ball with your two feet.
The ARFootball has a different levels of difficulty along with two versions, which include a free play mode and an arcade mode. the game works only with iPhone with iOS 4 installed, it can be purchased from iTunes app store for a price of £0.59. Watch the clip below for the game in action.
