Android, the Google Mobile OS is not limited to being used on mobile phones only. It’s been used also on some other gadgets such as netbooks, tablets etc.
And the latest news we have here is Android OS is now used in a car, Roewe 350 to power its GPS, audio system etc.
The Roewe 350′s DVD and GPS systems are powered Android 2.1. The technology allows motorists to have their required information at their fingertips including real time local traffic reports as well as direct web access.
The Roewe 350 will also come included with chat and VOIP but there is no clear information on how the Roewe 350 establishes its Internet connection in order to enable all the mentioned applications and services. Perhaps, it allows you to slot in a data SIM card to hook onto any 3G network from any of your local cellular networks.
Cars with mobile Internet technology are not new to us. Ford Sync and Chrysler are the few that come equipped with WiFi or 3G Internet.
