The Western Digital My Passport Studio portable HDD comes with an e-Ink display that allows you to customize it to remind what has been stored on the drive even though the power is cut off.
The e-Ink label on the WD HDD lets you have a glance to know the free space and the major types of files you store on it; the little useful information that could usually be known in the past by having to connect the portable HDD to a computer.
Each HDD is pre-formatted for Macs but you can easily reformat them on your PC. The e-Ink display of the hard drive needs to be customized by using the WD e-Ink software, which you need to install on your computer. The WD My Passport Studio HDDs are available in two models, which are 320GB and 640GB and cost $150 and $200 respectively.
