Here comes a little device that combines three useful functions in one, which it works as a USB Direct Link cable, a USB NetLink and a USB card reader.
The USB Direct Link lets you connect two computers via USB ports, which then allows you to copy files from one another. This little device is based on USB 2.0 technology, so you’ll get the 480Mbps of data transfer speeds only. The USB NetLink function allows you to share Internet connection of another computer via USB port, without needing to connect via Ethernet or WiFi.
It also works as a card reader and is capable of reading various memory cards including M2, MS, MS Pro, MS Duo, Ms Pro Due, SD / MMC, RS MMC, Mini SD, T-Flash (Micro SD) etc. The little device is compatible with Windows Operating systems (2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7) but no words on Linux or Mac.
The little hassle is you need to install software on both computers which you want to get connected and set one computer as master and the other one as slave. It comes with two USB connectors, be sure to have one and the correct USB connector plugged into your computer’s USB port, while it’s used as a card reader.
Keep one of these in your laptop bag, it will come in handy while you’re of reach of Ethernet/WiFi connection and you wish to copy files between two computers or read some memory cards.
