Microsoft unveils Windows Phone 7 Series


Microsoft has announced their Windows Phone 7 Series which is actually the operating system that would likely run on many future smart phones. Microsoft hopes to get the Windows Phone 7 ready by Christmas this year.

The Windows Phone 7 offers a redesigned homescreen, where it combines various functionalities found on other MS gadgets such as the Zune, Xbox, revamped Office and even integrated Bing search engine. Basically the Windows Phone 7′s features can be summarized into 6 hubs which are people, pictures, games, music+video, marketplace and office.

The People Hub allows you to stay connected on various social media sites, especially Facebook and Windows Live, which the new Phone 7 OS allows you to access to these sites in just one step.

The Pictures Hub is meant for the ease of sharing and viewing pictures and video by the users over social networking sites.

The Games Hub offers official Xbox Live experience. The Music + Video Hub is what Zune has, and users can access to online music services and it features a built-in FM radio.

The Marketplace is where you can buy certified apps and games for your Windows Phone 7 smart phones. And the Office is where at one place that you get to access Office, OneNote and SharePoint Workspace and allows you to manage documents while on the go. Watch the clips below for more info.
