Microsoft has officially released a tool, called Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool (WUDT), which allows the creation of a bootable USB installer for its Windows 7 OS. USB installer provides the convenience for installation of the Windows 7 on netbooks, which eliminates the need to hook up an external DVD drive.
The Microsoft tool allows you to create a bootable installer using the downloaded install files on a USB flash drive or USB HDD that has sufficient capacity. The tool is currently available on Microsoft online store for download and purchase.

Windows is copying what Linux had already done before. All these time Windows wage war against the free Linux and yet they copy Linux methods for installing operating system. If you haven’t seen Linux, they have been using bootable USB since 1995 i think.
