If the price of a netbook is an issue instead of the specs, you’d better get hold of the Sungworld’s 7-inch netbook, which should be the cheapest netbook to date and it costs only $73.
The Sungworld 7-inch netbook is claimed to be a “Macbook Air-style netbook” that is targeted at the oversea market. It was found in the market of the mainland of clones. The factory price of this netbook is only 500 Yuan or about $73 in USD. With such a super low price, you should also expect low hardware specs.
The Sungworld netbook is powered by a 300MHZ VIA VT8500 processor, with a 7-inch 800×480 display, 128MB RAM, 1GB storage, built-in 1800mAH Battery, runs Windows CE OS and with WiFi connecitivity. If you just want a cheap device that can let you stay connected to the Internet while on the run, the Sungworld should not be too sluggish to let you do so. You may wanna consider using a trimmed-down version of modern browser that has minimal plug-ins for better response time. This cheap netbook measures 23.5×16.5×28.4mm and weighs 700g.
