A pedometer is a pretty boring device. Other than using it to count the foot steps that you’ve taken through your journey, what else you can use it for? Bandai’s pedometer has a different approach, it also works as a calorie counter and some more it comes with a Samurai game that may encourage you to challenge yourself and exercise more.
The game on the Bandai pedometer, presents you a Samurai-era storyline. You can then choose to be a character out of the three famous daimyo from the Sengoku, or Warring States Period and take your foot soldiers out to the battlefield. So, the more you walk or jog, the more you will get to attaining the full control of Japan (in the game).
This should be a pretty interesting device, but it’d be better if it could offer some kind of competitiveness, plotting chart of achievement of all the users on a website.
