The wrist-worn OLED display that we’d shown you back in January and has just been showcased at SID Display Week 2009 by the New Jersey-based Universal Display and LG.
Just to recap, the OLED bracelet features a 4-inch OLED display, with a 100ppi resolution/QVGA (320 x RGB x 240 pixels). The display also shows 1.67 million colors, features a luminance of 100cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 when emitting white light..
This OLED bracelet weighs a mere 8g, and the panel is only 0.3mm in thickness. It consumes only about 1W of electricity and it’s bendable up to a curvature radius of 2 inches. Up to this stage, this wrist-worn OLED display is still in its prototype. It may need a few more years to reach your hands.
