HTC has announced the HTC Touch Cruise, which is a handset that comes with GPS navigation and geo-tagging feature for easy tagging of photos with the location taken.

The HTC Touch Cruise is a redesign of the earlier models which comes in a more compact design. The handset uses the HTC Footprints geo-tagging that allows users to easily tag their photos with locations. For example, you can make a nice digital postcard by taking a photo of the beautiful scenery, add some notes, audio clips, as well as tagging it with the geographical location using the GPS map coordinates.

Besides the photo tagging, the HTC Touch Cruise is also a helpful handset that works as an in-car navigation system, to help you get to the right destination. It comes with a car cradle, which allows you to mount on your car’s dashboard, that turns it into an easy to use, one touch navigation system that offers turn by turn directions.

Some other goodies found on the Touch Cruise are a 2.8-inch TFT-LCD touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel fixed focus digital camera, 256 MB RAM, Bluetooth, HSPA and WiFi connectivities. The Cruise is expected to hit the market only in the spring of 2009. Specifications at a glance are as follows:
