I must admit, the most attractive to me, is the pretty girl who holds the newly announced BenQ netbooks instead of the netbook itself.
Yes, it’s BenQ which has just announced their new netbook, Joybook Lite U101, which has been released in China before, now has hit its homeland, Taiwan. The BenQ’s Joybook Lite U101 netbook is similar to other netbooks that we’ve seen before, comes equipped with a 10.1-inch display and boasts a resolution of 1280 x 800, with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
This BenQ netbook is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor. It’s available in both 120GB or 160GB hard drive sizes or in 4GB or 16GB SSD options. On the operating system, you have the choices for Windows XP or Linux. Do expect to pay a higher price for the Windows XP version due to the additional cost for the software license.
Other goodies found on the BenQ netbook are an Intel 945GSE chipset with 512MB memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 etc. And the most I like about is it includes an HSUPA module which is for the convenience to hook up to 3G network for high-speed Internet, without needing a separate USB HSUPA modem for doing so.
It also comes with a 4-in-1 card reader, and a pair of 1.5W speakers and you can get it in Taiwan now for a price tag of $500.
