Toshiba has got a few new launches recently, which are a new Dynabook NX Notebook, a 1.80-inch 250GB HDD, a 2.5-inch SSD and a new flash module.
The Toshiba Dynabook NX notebook comes with a 12.1 inch back lit LCD screen with WXGA resolution (widescreen 1280X800).
It’s powered by the Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 CPU (1.20GHz), comes with 2GB of RAm which is expandable up to 3GB. For the permanent storage, you have options of 128GB SSD or 160GB SATA hard drive.
Other goodies including DVD Super Multi Drive, Wifi b/g/n, three USB ports, e-Sata port, and SD card slot. It will likely to cost 1,200 Eur for the HDD version and 1,930 Eur for the SSD version.
The second product launched by Toshiba is the 1.8 inch 250 GB hard drive, model MK2529GSG. It’s the first one in the world belongs to that category that has a storage capacity of 250GB. This 1.8 inch hard drive comes with a storage capacity of 250GB with spinning speed at 5,400 RPM, 8.0mm thick. This new Toshiba hard drive will be available from November, and it’s designed for the UMPCs or PMPs.
The third one is the 2.5-Inch SSD, the THNS256GE8BC, which features 256GB of storage space. This SSD boasts a writing speed of 70MB/s and a reading speed of 120MB/s. This SDD is expected to start production in October.
The last product is a flash module, which is mainly designed for netbook and will be available in three storage sizes 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. It offers a reading speed of 80MB/s and a writing speed of 50MB/s. The price is still unknown.
