Swann is unveiling their new wireless security camera, which consists of a camera with a transmitter which transmits video signals wirelessly to the receiver for recording.
The little extra security of the new Swann camera is it adds encryption to the signals that are being transmitted wirelessly. Making it with very slim chance for others to eavesdrop your wireless signals. The newly released Swann camera is called Swann ADW-300, which will cost you around $200.
The Swann ADW-300 camera transmits the video signals in a point-to-point manner to its receiver. Using the special technology for the signal transmission, it ensures the signal transmitted is intact without getting disturbed by any nearby interference. Furthermore the signal is encrypted that which ensures no one could steal your signals.
The encryption is definitely a need for today’s wireless security camera. Imagine, if you have this security cam installed in the living room of your mansion, and the receiver is somewhere in another room. If the signal is transmitted without any encryption, someone who stays nearby could have eavesdropped the signals that might possibly contain video that shows you running around in the house naked.
Some other features found this highly secured wireless cam including olor viewing and recording during the day, black and white with infra-red night vision in low light situations and a wireless transmission range of around 160 feet. The device is said to be available soon.
