Uploading videos to YouTube is definitely one of the hottest trends that you’d find among your friends these days. So, it’s always a neat idea that you could get a camcorder that features a handy YouTube video uploading function – let’s say a one-touch button to shoot the video clip up to YouTube.
The new Everio S series – GZ-MS100 by JVC are the camcorders that feature a one-touch button for firing those newly captured sweetest moments to the most popular online video website – YouTube. The camcorders are similar to the predecessors – the JVC Everio G series. But they’re lighter as they’ve got no built-in hard drive. Recording is direct onto SD cards.
The camcorders come with the CyberLink software, which you need to install on a Windows computer, which provides the ease of uploading videos to YouTube. There is an upload button on the camcorder, which works in two ways.
While it’s in recording mode, press the UPLOAD button and followed by the trigger, this will then limit the recording to 10 minutes in length, which is the length suitable for YouTube file size limit. This is definitely a handy feature which you don’t have to spend lots of time, sitting in front of your computer to edit and shorten footage in order to meet the allowed file size of YouTube.
And once the recording is done, then hook the camcorder to your computer’s USB port and then press the UPLOAD button. Voila, the newly recorded footage will then be uploaded to YouTube. All this will be done automatically, which the Cyberlink Software installed on the computer is launched automatically, once the UPLOAD button is pressed and uploads the video. Followed by a few mouse click, the video will then be viewable on YouTube by everyone. The original video quality is still maintained in the camcorder which can then be used for other purposes.
The camcorder also features the JVC’s ‘Laser Touch Operation, which depends on a touch-sensitive scroll bar and buttons that make navigating the entire screen menus much easier without having you to touch the LCD which makes no fingerprints left on the LCD display. The camcorders come with an included battery that can last for 2.5 hours after a full charge. And you also get options to buy higher-capacity models such as the 4 and 6-hour models. The GZ-MS100 camcorder will be out around June for $350.
