A spiky bomb from Mars? No, it’s a coffee machine!

Expresso Coffee Machine by Swiss designer, Carlo Borer looks ghostly?
What do you think of the object in the picture is? The first guess by my first glance was it’s some kind of spiky metal ball with few supporting stands, which it could be something explosive, a spiky bomb sent from Mars or a new kind of spaceship of the mini aliens!

These are all wrong, it’s kinda espresso coffee machine, which is pretty obvious as told by the coffee cup next to it. This is the design of the Swiss designer, Carlo Borer. I guess he should be big fan of those Sc-fi movies that’s why he came out with this futuristic design for this coffee machine.

The coffee machine is made of steel and its spikes and stands are crafted from polished aluminum. There is a removable water tank concealed under the detachable upper half of the sphere. There is no mention about why the metal sphere needs to carry couple of spikes on it. Perhaps, the designer simply got the idea from those spiky bras! The price is still unknown, which could be pretty expensive due to its extraordinary kinda design.
