I think there have been some kind of researches or findings on-going, showing that aromatherapy, making use of good smell to give your brain some kind of power boost! I’m not sure how true it is, but I do feel like it should be pretty true. As good smell definitely boosts a bit of your spirit or mood, at least holding you awake while carrying out your complex work. I think, it could probably make your brain absorb better quality of oxygen.
Pentel has got some newly designed pencil lead, which is called Ain supplio, claimed to be the combination of nanotechnology and aromatherapy. Which will make you much more brainy than usual while using it for writing. And this “smelling good” pencil has also recently won the coveted Stationery of the year award (2007). The kind of fragrance injected into the Pentel’s pencil lead can last up to three years if left unopenned, 2 years if kept in their plastic case and even more than 3 months exposed in the open air. This is due to the nano technique used to inject the fragrance, which has the fragrant ingredients trapped in nanocapsules or air bubbles and then infused into the pencil lead itself. It costs only $2 per set and comes in three flavors Refresh, Healing and Positive, prepared by qualified aromatherapists. If you think your kids aren’t that brainy, why not have a couple of sets for them to try out or you can also try out youself.

No amount of fragrances applied to office stationery and supplies can improve your brain function when the person sitting next to you smells like they’ve been dragged through a pig sty three months ago and is still wearing the same clothes. Safer sticking two rubber ended pencils up your nose.
