Cydia app enables HDR photography on iPhone 3GS and 3G

HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography has been made available on the iOS 4.1 which is a feature that captures images using three different exposures and merge them to bring out the dark and light spots on a picture to make all details visible. Unfortunately, such as useful feature has been restricted by Apple to be usable on the iPhone 4 only.

Toktumi Line 2 iPhone app lets you make free 3G and WiFi calls

The Toktumi Line 2 application for the iPhone allows you to make and receive free phone calls via WiFi or 3G networks. This saves you from having to use your existing iPhone minutes. You can even downgrade your iPhone service to AT&T’s $40 plan with 450 minutes, so when your minutes are finished, you can then make calls via WiFi and 3G networks. The Line 2 app also allows you to make cheap International calls at a couple of cents per minute for many countries.

You need to download and install the Line 2 app on your iPhone and sign up for an account. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be given your own Line 2 phone number, which works like any regular phone number. You can even port your existing number to Toktumi or get a premium 800 number.

The Line 2 app also provides various goodies, such as advanced call management features which let you forward calls or route calls through a virtual assistant, and the ability to create conference calls with up to 20 users. It also packs iPhone-like voice mail features and you can also have voicemails sent to your emails. The Line 2 app also imports your existing contacts, so you can quickly place calls and get incoming numbers identified.

Besides playing guitar and piano, what else can you play on your iPhone? It’s drumming. Before stepping into the actual career of being a pro drummer, the iPhone can prepare you with the kick-start course you need to go for. Drumming on iPhone will need you to have pretty agile fingers. Drumming on the small iPhone touchscreen is definitely harder than drumming on a finger drum. But, it gives you the handiness that anytime you could practise with it. As I believe for now, the iPhone would have been the most ubiquitous gadget of yours.
