GH-165M comprehensive watch, with GPS and heart rate monitoring

July 11th, 2007 by ketyung

GH-165M comprehensive watch, with GPS and heart rate monitoring We’ve just seen the Veiled Watch, which is hard for you to locate its arms. Perhaps, you aren’t the kind of artistic guy and you simply can’t get along with the watch that gives the basic info, the time, in a pretty blur manner. Don’t worry, we’re gonna look at a watch that shows you very detailed info, not only the time, it even lets you have GPS info and also monitors your heart rate. The GH-615M watch, manufactured by USGlobalSat is the kind of watch that provides pretty comprehensive information that you need, especially useful if you’re an athelete, so you can make use of it for tracking every detail of your workout.

The GH-615M watch has sufficient memory to store up to 60,000 waypoints. You can have it set to record and store your travel routes at pre-set intervals. And display all the necessary GPS info on its LCD display, such as the coordinates, speed, attitude and also your heart rate. The watch is water resistant and can stand the test of wettest outdoor condition. You can also sync its data to your computer or use it as a GPS receiver for your computer via the computer’s USB port. I personally think that it’s best for the heavy shoppers, so you can keep track of your complex shopping routes and also your heart rate during those bargains.

Nearly invisible watch face engraved on a silver bracelet

July 11th, 2007 by ketyung

Nearly invisible watch face engraved on a silver bracelet
Watch with artistic design definitely fails to tell time properly, at least kind of confusing or simply hard to find where the moving arms or the digital display are. Here is another designer watch, Veiled Watch, which the idea is probably to let guys enjoy wearing those shiny things. As it doesn’t look too outstanding while worn on your wrist so you wouldn’t be considered as one from the non-manly group. The Veiled Watch was created by the designer Philippe Starck, which is a continuous silver bracelet that has a nearly invisible analog watch face concealed on it. It’s definitely not a reliable source for telling time during emergency. Perhaps, it is a bit of fun to deceive your friends that you can tell time so precisely as if you’re not wearing a watch or carrying any gadget that tells time.

Barcode black watch tells time in a futuristic manner or simply confusing?

June 27th, 2007 by ketyung

Barcode black watch tells time in a futuristic manner or simply confusing?
The Barcode Black Watch tells time in a completely different manner than any other watches you’re used to. To me, this could be a little bit confusing, which will take me some time to get used to it. It’s got 4 columns of LEDs instead of those digital display or analog moving arms for telling you the time. The first two columns of the LEDs represent the current hour. In column 1, each lit LED equals 5 hours and each lit LED in column 2 equals to 1 hour. The third and the fourth column tell the minutes. Each lit LED in column 3 equals to 10 minutes and each lit LED in column 4 equals to 1 minute. The watch runs on 2 Lithium batteries that are easy to change. The strap is Solid Stainless with IP Black, custom designed just for the watch. It measures 28mm x 57mm x 13mm and weighs 140 grams. Can you tell what time the watch shows you in the above-attached picture? It’s 10:34 – Two LEDs lit up on the first column, no lit LED on second, three and four lit up on third and fourth respectively. Confusing?

The long-waited Aussie M300 wristwatch cell phone is available now

June 15th, 2007 by ketyung

The long-waited Aussie M300 wristwatch phone is now available
Still remember the Aussie M300 wristwatch that also works as your mobile phone, which we’ve seen couple of months ago? This long-waited piece is now available at Brando online store. Just a refresh for its specs. This watch features quad-band GSM, which should work anywhere in the world. It’s got an 1 inch OLED, 65K Screen. Other than working as a watch and cell phone, it’s also integrated with MP3 player, with a built-in memory of 64MB. It supports Bluetooth A2DP, which allows you to stream tunes to the included headset wirelessly. Other functions included are phone book, built-in speaker and microphone, supports both English and simplified Chinese, but too bad is its SMS capability is only restricted to receiving only. Of course, having only an 1-inch display and no keypad, I don’t think you’re able to type your message on it.

Mastercard paypass wristwatch! To somebody, wristwatch could be one the most ubiquitous companion. It’s pretty nice and handy if your wristwatch could be swiped to pay your bills, food, bus fare etc. Although this is not everywhere yet in the world, but it’s been done at least for one country i.e Turkey. The Turkey bank has teamed up with MasterCard, which they have implemented the first watch in the world that comes with credit card built-in. PayPass is a special technology enabled on credit cards and keytags, which allows you to pay for smaller purchases by just tapping it onto a special sensor. Anytime, when your stomach is crying for food, just tap your new watch on the PayPass reader for a set Burger King or Macdonald meal. This wristwatch costs you only 15 euro.

Most confusing watch ?

March 24th, 2007 by ketyung

Stupid relativity watch!
Have you ever seen a watch that the numbers move instead of its hands move? Perhaps, this is the most confusing kind of design. The watch is modeled based on the law of reletivity of Albert Einstein, which uses the concept of everything is relative. I was a fan of Albert Einstein’s law of relativity when I was hot for physics in school. But I don’t think wanna spend $29.00 for such a confusing watch. As having it to tell my time will surely make me late for all kind of meetings or appoinments. But the choice is yours, if you wanna have to show off and confuse your friends.

Body Watch tells you your fitness

March 14th, 2007 by ketyung

Body Watch tells you your fitness
Geeks who always stay in front of PC’s monitor is undeniably lacking some exercises. Even though we have no much execise in our daily life, we also need to take good care of our health by using some other methods. Besides having good exercise, some other methods to keep ourselves fit would be having good discipline for our daily food and water comsumption and staying alert with consistent health checking.

Now just on your wrist, you could monitor your own body condition. Just strap the Body Watch to your wrist and it will show you the level of your body fat, body water as well as your Body Mass Index or BMI. Using this water, you’ll have the best guideline about the daily consumption of water and calorie to help you stay fit. Other than this, the Body Watch includes a sports timer, a standard alarm and can even track fitness data for 2 different users. Its spec shows that it’s suitable for age range of 10-99. Doesn’t it mean kids below 10 will mostly have good health? For those who’s turned 100, I don’t think that you still need to take control of your food, just eat whatever you can and do whatever you want. As you have lived long enough in this world or perhaps, you have no more teeth to bite nice food!

Watchminder 2
There are quite a number of gadgets out there to help those who have poor memory. Here comes a wrist watch, the Watchminder 2. If you don’t carry a PDA or smartphone, the Watchminder 2 surely comes in handy for busy and forgetful people like you. Furthermore, it’s a wrist watch, it’s definitely the best companion and you will wear wherever you go if you’re the one like wearing wrist watch. It’s got 60 personal messages and 30 alarm settings which you can use to remind you to do anything such as taking your medicine, time for meetings and appointments etc. This watch comes with 2 modes, they’re the reminder mode and the training mode. Both modes can be operated individually or simultaneously. The reminder mode is for you to remember specific tasks, whereas the training mode is the best tool for eliminating your bad habit, such as quiting smoking, nail biting. Even though I quited smoking completely about 4 years ago, this watch would be helpful for me to get rid of my habit of biting nail occasionally.

Home Theater Watch

March 5th, 2007 by ketyung

Home Theater Watch!
Are you the kind of big addict for movies? If so, you can just watch movie on your wrist with the Home Theater Watch. I wish the kind of 1.5″ screen could fullfill your lust. I don’t think the idea of watching movie on the 1.5″ screen really brings you the kind of fun on big screen. But according to GadgetUniverse, the movies on this watch will look the same as they would on your PC.

It’s got a built-in 2GB memory, sufficient for at least one full length feature film. This watch’d also be good for those overly busy, always travel around, so you can take peek on your favorite movie while stuck at the traffice jam. Other than as a portable movie player, it can also let you read documents, listen to your favourite MP3 and WMA audio tracks or watch your latest JPEG photos. Movies can be sent to this watch from your computer via USB, and the included software can convert any files in the format of ASF, AVI, MPEG, WMV, DAT/VCD, and ASX to a format that’s compatible with the watch.

Let’s Pikachu tell you the time!

February 25th, 2007 by ketyung

Pikachu watch!
The Pokemon watch is nothing high-tech, simply for its cuteness for those who like to have a whole set of collection. Since Kotaku put it as best, I just include it here for you. Priced at Â¥3,129 (US $26), it comes in red pink and blue. There’s Pikachu on the display. So either you still have a young heart, the Pokemon fans or you collect it for your kids, then not a bad idea to have both as collection.
