HTC promises all its smart phones launched in year 2010 to get the Android 2.2 update. The HTC Desire has been known to be getting its Android Froyo 2.2 update on June 23. And more HTC phones should be in the queue soon, getting their updates.

The Concrete USB drive is a concept by Shu-Chun Hsiao, which is a USB flash drive that tells its storage capacity by its weight. It is made of concrete material. The weight of the drive tells its storage capacity such as 128g means 128GB, 256g for 256GB and so on.

Altek has announced a camera phone called Altek Leo 3.5G, comes with a 14-megapixel CCD sensor that makes it a great device to shoot both still images and HD video while you’re on the run. The handset packs a number of photo-shooting gears including a Xenon Flash, an LED flash and 3x optical zoom.

The iPhone OS 4 BETA has been jailbroken by an ex-Apple employee, KaatjeNL, on an iPhone 3GS. She used the redsn0w 0.9.5 jailbreak tool which actually allows only the OS 4 on iPhone 3G to be jailbroken. But KaatjeNL managed to use her own method to jailbreak the OS 4 on the iPhone 3GS.

Acer has an Android smart phone, called the Acer Liquid Stream, has hit the FCC recently, which should also hint that it’d be reaching the consumer market pretty soon. The handset will run Android 2.1 instead of the Android 2.2; the reason could be Acer has been developing a brand new custom user interface before the Android 2.2 was announced.
