The iPad iCade was an April Fool prank by ThinkGeek but has been turned into a real thing now with the ability to bring you the arcade gaming experience on your Apple iPad. The iCade comes in a custom-built body, with buttons that pair with your iPad via Bluetooth and the free iCade app, allowing you to enjoy endless hours of arcade games on the iPad.

CES will be where Android Honeycomb tablet wars begin. LG is also prepping its Android Honeycomb tablet to be unveiled at CES 2011. The Android Honeycomb tablet from LG offers two versions of this tablet which are an 8.9-inch version and a 10-inch version. It may even come with a physical QWERTY keyboard.

There is a safety issue with the WakeMate sleep aid as the included USB charger is defective and could explode. An email has been sent out by WakeMate to tell all their customers about a safety incident of the USB charger reported by a customer.

The latest 4G LTE smartphone of HTC, known as HTC Thunderbolt 4G LTE, has had some specs leaked. The leaked specs reveal that the handset will be powered by a super fast Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core processor 1.2 GHz. It’ll also pack a large 4.3-inch display with 16.78 million colors and run the Android Gingerbread 2.3 OS.

There are many smart phones wanting to beat the iPhone in terms of features. The latest-claimed “iPhone beater” is an Android phone called A918, made by ZTE and the Russian AFK Sistema. The handset features the GLONASS GPS system that is claimed to provide 93% of accuracy, versus the 64% accuracy rate of the iPhone.

It’s the last day of 2010, I’d like to wish all TechChee readers a very Happy New Year 2011 and conclude everything in the last blog post of 2010.
The beginning of 2010 was when the CES 2010 kicked off with interesting gadgets and there was some hotness for the Intel’s wireless display and push 2 TV, the technology that allows you to beam contents wirelessly from your computer to any HDTV. And a couple of laptops had surfaced that packed the Intel wireless displays.

Olympus is rumored to launch its new micro four thirds camera, known as Olympus E-PL2 at CES 2011. The E-PL2 is a successor of the Olympus E-PL1 micro four thirds camera. You’ll find a similar sensor on the E-PL2 but there are also a few new features found on the E-PL2 including 14-42mm movie and still compatible kit lens with f-stop values ranging form f3.5 to f5.6.
