For those who love retro stuff and always go against digital stuff, the Retro Flip Down clock would be just a nice piece of gadget to sit on your work desk for telling you the time. The flip down clock is gear operated, but its power source is a 9V battery, meaning that you don’t have to wind it up for power. The time will flip down automatically at every 60 seconds and hour. Everything seems to be fine, but I’m only unsure if this gadget will produce any annoying mechanical noise when it’s flipping the time. The gadget is stated coming soon on ChinaVasion, there are no words on availability and pricing yet.

Anyway, the research team headed by Hwang Seung-sang at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology seems to have brought us a good news i.e. after six years of experiment, they managed to have created something that sits between presently used copper wires and glass fibers, which is called ‘Plastic optical Fibers’.
