I’m not too sure if this speaker really behaves as what it’s said. As far as I know, if you wanna enjoy surround sound system then you have to be in the center and having few speakers surrounding you. The dodecahedra speaker being developed at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, is aiming to give omnidirectional effect. It is made up of a 12 speakers, with each single speaker turned at a certain angle to cover 360 degrees both horizontally and vertically. To me, this speakers system sounds like giving some kind of dispersed effect. But not really, if you compare it with just a single unit of ordinary speaker system, the difference is the dodecahedra speaker will give the same sound quality no matter you’re at its front or side or back, whereas other speakers don’t do so. Sound quality will definitely drop if you’re at the side or back of an ordinary speaker. Ummm, now I get it!
This omnidirectional speaker could be used both indoor and outdoor and there isn’t need for installation of extra equipment. The idea is to have one dodecahedra speaker to replace all speakers, which this also reduces installation cost as it needs only one cable. The researches are looking for investors for mass production of the speakers.

The Pokemon watch is nothing high-tech, simply for its cuteness for those who like to have a whole set of collection. Since Kotaku put it as best, I just include it here for you. Priced at Â¥3,129 (US $26), it comes in red pink and blue. There’s Pikachu on the display. So either you still have a young heart, the Pokemon fans or you collect it for your kids, then not a bad idea to have both as collection.

I’ve talked about before that the next step shall be taken by web 2.0 is to monetize it! Here is a website, first in the world from web 2.0 that helps you and me and itself to monetize. Monetizing by lending or borrowing money! I’d call it the loan shark 2.0, which it’s simply building path for loan sharks. It’s ZOPA, a company in UK, which has taken web 2.0 to another step by putting money where its mouth is!
ZOPA is the acronym for Zone of Possible Agreement, which is the world’s first online lending and borrowing exchange. If those gadgets introduced by TechChee are simply too fascinating and irresistable to you and you’ve almost burnt out most of your bucks, then ZOPA should be where you should turn to, to borrow some bucks.

The Citizen W700 Bluetooth simply looks too plain for you to show off to your friends. Its plain looking simply reminds me some of the watches that kids always got from their moms, which moms got it as gifts from buying cooking oils. The watch does a little good for those who always wears a wrist watch. No matter you’re too lazy to take out your phone from your pocket or just simply leave it in your drawer, then you can just look at this watch on your wrist for any incoming calls.

As we just talked about iPhone is too expensive to most consumers. For a price touching $500.00, you’d be able to get some other cellphones that have better funtionalities or at least with 3G capability. In order to be more appealing and competitive, Apple’s gotta catch up, i.e add on the 3G feature on iPhone. 3G is nearly a must outside of U.S, such as European countries, which have higher data rates and widespread 3G networks. 3G smartphones are mostly used as a “mini multimedia computer” instead of a cellphone in Europe.

3G was early mentioned by Jobs at MacWorld that will be included into iPhone later. AppleInsider told that 3G would likely be seen on iPhone as soon as January 2008 in Europe. A Swedish firm reports that they’ve been given assurances by their contact at Apple that there will be a European 1st generation iPhone by September, and a followup 3G version in very early 2008. So iPhone fans, the 3G version is only about 6 months behind the first generation, you might as well wait for the 3G version.

More about iPhone, although you’ve heard enough. Lets hear the public comments on whether iPhone sounds affordable or worth for them to spend. A recent survey conducted over 379 people in U.S, the price of iPhone, which Apple is asking for $500.00 for the low end, is simply too expensive for most people. Among 26% of the respondents said they’re likely to buy an iPhone. Only 1% of the surveyed said they’d spend $500 for an iPhone. 42% said they’d pay $200 to $299, while 60% said they were likely to but but considering switching their carrier in order to get it.
Well, expect for a price drop or a bundle by some operators for few years of contract. Apple is well known of selling a cheaper price than the announced price for some of its products. So Apple fans, just wait and see!

As you know, geeks always stuck in front of PC monitor will have our mustache and beard growing pretty quickly. It’s really handy that we can just simply pick up a shaver from our desk and then have a nice shave. Furthermore, this shaver doesn’t need us to connect it to an AC power outlet, as it’s already connected to our PC’s USB port and taking power from it.
