Initially, the Kurara was said as the more entry level version of the SE Satio but actually it’s a more powerful phone that will pack an ARM Cortex A8 processor and the PowerVR GPU.

The SE Kurara will also get 256MB RAM, a figure that is a lot for a mobile phone. Apparently, the Kurara will be a much more powerful phone than the Satio and will work much faster. The Kurara will also be capable of recording and playback HD 720p video, which was early reflected by the HD label at its back. This handset is expected to launch in second half of February 2010 with a MSRP around $745.

The little device is the product of AquaOne Technologies, which is to be installed in your toilet or other home water system to detect any water leak or overflow.

The H2Orb is like a water valve that attaches directly to the water valve behind the toilet and has a single float sensor hangs inside the toilet tank. When a leak is detected, it shuts off the water and alerts the user of the leak with an audible alarm and also displays an icon on its LCD display. The entire system runs on a single 3V lithium coin cell battery.

Water leak could cause certain internal damages of appliances or other wooden house decors. The device is useful to let you know if there is a leak as soon as possible. And also it can save your water bills and you from the screaming phone calls.

The alarm clock claims its shape reflects the duality and unity of sleep/wake cycle. No much idea why it’s called Milky Way. Perhaps it’s because of it’s in little milky color or it is a small replica of the Milky way the goes across the clear night sky. The Aphone A6 definitely looks like an iPhone from the exterior. This phone features a 3.5-inch capacitive multi-touch display and it is even powered by dual-core CPU.

Other goodies include a 2-megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and GSM EDGE (no 3G) connectivity. This phone comes pre-loaded with a 20 games and some communication software including Opera Mini, Skype, and Email apps. Obviously, the phone’s UI poses very close similarity to what the iPhone has, but it actually boots into an Android 1.5.

The Aphone A6 should be from the mainland of cloned phones, China. Perhaps you’d be able to get it in the streets of China.

Most netbook users were unaware of the limitations although Microsoft have openly said that the starter edition can’t do everything.

Most new netbooks on sale are running the Windows 7 starter edition, but you can pay an extra about $80 to get it upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium version to stay away from those limitations. But the additional cost makes lots of netbook users unhappy.

Microsoft’s such move seems to squeeze netbook users to one corner, and may unintentionally urges netbook users to opt Linux, the free and open source OS. And some more Apple is also killing Hackintosh, which will also lead more to use Linux. Latest reports are predicting Linux netbooks could grab over 30% of the share of netbook sale, which isn’t a good news at all for MS. These RC cars should be pretty fun to have, it may deceive some people as if they’re giant spiders that have invaded your living space.

The Aero Spider RC cars come with a “laser” gun as the remote control. It works similarly to the Infrared tracker car that we’ve seen before. The user will need to use the gun to project red light beams which the Aero Spider cars will follow the beams anywhere they go. The Aero Spider cars are equipped with light sensors that can catch where the light beams go and follow them exactly.

The Aero Spider RC cars are the products of Takara Tomy from Japan, and will be available in Japan in early November for a price of ¥6,000 (appx. $65 USD). The video below shows they can crawl the walls.

If you’re big sports fan, you’ll definitely be interested in knowing the speeds of your favorite runners or cars. The device is so tiny, claims to be the world’s first pocket-sized radar detector, which is useful for sports coaches and fans to measure speeds that they’ve always encountered in life.

Such as it can be used to track the speed of a baseball pitcher or how fast your favorite driver could drive. It is easy to use, offers one-touch operation, just press the red button in the center of the device, and the speed reading will be shown on the display.

It uses Doppler radar signal detection, similar to what larger radar guns do and the accuracy is within 1 mile per hour. Battery consumption is not a worry, allows up to 10,000 measurements on a set of AAA batteries. Slated to launch in the Spring of 2010 and showcased at CES too. A clip attached below shows you how it works.

While most of us will carry a USB key anywhere we go, it’ll be useful for this little USB key to also work as an emergency charger for gadgets. Sun Drive, once fully charged, is able to provide your cellphone an extra 100 minutes of talk time or power a budget MP3 player for additional 35 hours.

The Sun Drive costs only $23, which is of course more expensive than any regular USB drives but still affordable for most people. It shouldn’t be a bad choice to have a try as it’d probably save your life during emergency if it’d work as what it claims.

The 12-port USB hub is like an octopus, in a circular shape which gives each USB port plenty of room. It shouldn’t be a problem to have 12 USB gadgets including those fat and oddly-shaped ones, connected to this USB hub at the same time. Each port has a port number, allows the user to easily identify the connected devices.

There are a number of shorts, such as it’s not bus-powered, it needs external power supplied via a power adapter that connects to the hub by a mini-USB type input plug. Other than that, it also takes up pretty much desk space, considering those sticking-out cables, it’d likely take up about 12 inches of desk space. The octopus-like shape will also present your desk with a little mess.

But rumors seem to tell that Apple would plan to have updates for their OS X Snow Leopard operating system, which the next release would not come with the support of Intel Atom processors. So if you’d proceed for an update of the Mac OS X on your netbook, the consequence could be your Hackintosh’d stop running.

Apple is about to release the updates for two versions of its Snow Leopard OSes, which are the 10.6.2 and 10.5.9. If you own a Hackintosh network, you’d better beware or not to proceed for an update. The OS X 10.6.2 is currently only available as a developer release, but testers have claimed that it’s not compatible with atom processors at all.

Apple’s attempt to kill Hackintosh netbooks could be true, and some more Apple iTablet could be on its way soon and need Apple to build a smooth path for it. Thanks to Apptizr which is going to launch a simple web service that is able to recommend the best iPhone applications based on the user’s interest.

Apptizr is still in its Aplha version, and we’ve been invited to have a preview for the Alpha version of the Apptizr. To use Apptizr to locate the best iPhone applications for you, you must have an account with it. Once you’ve signed into your account, it first prompts you to fill up your interests and the application categories that you’re interested in such as games, utilities, music, social networking, communications etc.

Once you’ve done that, you’ll then be presented with a list of applications that match your interests. You can get the application directly from Apple App Store by clicking the Get It button or you can thumb it up for later consideration of purchase at the “My Apps” tab. And it also tracks those applications that you’ve purchased from Apple App store via Apptizr in the My Apps section, so you won’t mistakenly buy the same app again.

For TechChee readers: As mentioned you need an account to use Apptizr, CEO of Apptizr, Dave is kind enough to have given us an invite code TechCheeXX, which allows the first 50 people to sign up for an account at Apptizr.com. So, hurry up!

The SE Kurara is a smartphone that is based on the 5th edition of Symbian S60 and should be included in the SE’s Entertainment Unlimited line-up which is what the Aino and Satio belong to.

The photos of the SE Kurara obviously shows that it will come with a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, 8.1 megapixel camera, and the word HD at the back should tell that the smart phone is capable of recording video HD.

The Kurara should be announced in the first half of 2010. The Kurara is currently the internal code name, no official name has been given yet so it’d most likely be released under a different name next year.

The TwitterPeek will run you $99 for 6 months of service ($7.95/month thereafter) and $199 with a lifetime of the device service. It allows you to have always-connected view of Twitter over a nationwide of cellular network.

Even though you’ve got a smart phone with Twitter app, you could also make use of TweetPeak, just to lessen the load of your mobile phone, making it more dedicated to calls and texts. And having TwitterPeek dedicated to keep you tweeting on Twitter.

The device is much simpler than using a mobile phone or computer, it has only a full QWERTY, color screen and click scroll wheel. A great gift for your granny so she can be kept busy on Twitter without needing to turn on and use a computer for tweeting. The device is available exclusively on Amazon.com and TwitterPeek.com from Nov 3, 2009.

Here comes another Samsung Android smartphonem, Saturn i6500, which is the fifth Android phone that Samsung has ever produced.

The Samsung Saturn i6500 runs Android 1.5, will come equipped with WiFi connectivity which has been confirmed with its WiFi Interoperability certification. The rest of the features of the Saturn i6500 should be similar to what the Samsung Galaxy i7500 has. Excepts it’s powered by an 800MHz processor instead of a 528MHz one.

The Saturn will come with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display that boasts a resolution of 320×480. Other goodies will be HSPA, GPS, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. Unfortunately, no pictures to show how the Saturn looks like. Hope it won’t carry a ring. The Saturn should be released some time next year (2010) with a price around $442.
