iPad AT&T security breach – vulnerable to spam marketing and malicious hacking

A security breach of the iPad on AT&T network has caused the information of iPad owners exposed, including dozens of CEOs, military officials, and top politicians. The iPad on AT&T could be vulnerable to spam marketing and malicious hacking. The breach lies in the AT&T network, which might have caused about 114,000 user accounts compromised and with some of their confidential information (e.g email) exposed in the US.

Patriot’s encrypted Bolt USB flash drive

There have been a number of cases of loss of confidential information caused by the loss of USB flash drive. And the data on the USB drive were usually unencrypted or weakly encrypted.

In order to prevent confidential data loss caused by loss of USB drives, business users should be more aware to choose USB flash drives that offer strong encryption for your data.

Patriot has announced their new USB flash drive, called Bolt, which lets you store your data on it with strong encryption. The Bolt USB flash drive needs you to authenticate before you can access the data on it. The data is protected using 256-bit AES encryption and a 512/2048-bit RSA engine is used to authenticate the user.

D-Link 3G doorbell lets you monitor your front door over a 3G phone

It’s definitely handy for home owners to be able to monitor the front door using a mobile phone. The D-Link DWM-351 3G door phone is the first of its kind doorbell that serves as an outdoor intercom and lets you use your 3G phone or PC to keep an eye on what’s going on at the front door.

The little D-Link doorbell allows you to insert a SIM card, and it has a 0.1 megapixel camera, speaker and mic. Home owners can use their mobile phone to see the visitor as a snapshot or over a one-way 3G video. And you can even speak on your phone to talk to the visitor who presses the doorbell over a two-way voicecall.
