Japanese have crazy ideas of using robots to do everything in life. They’ve got this pretty good idea, which uses a robot called Oboe to absorb all the memories of an elderly person, and keep them for their loved ones. So, when you’ve left this world, those coming generations in your family tree would be able to get to know more about you by spending time with Oboe.

Robots have been used extensively in hospitals or any therapy centers to assist patients. In Japan, robot is now to replace human to work as a nurse to deliver medication to the patients. This could hint that eventually human will lose their job of working as a nurse. (In certain countries, nurse is a pretty high-paying job).

Here comes the good news for long-term stroke sufferers who have lost their mobility and stayed in a bed/wheelchair for several years. University of California at Irvine has carried a study of using robot-assisted therapy to help stroke victims to regain their mobility.

Ponginator must have been created by someone who lives in boring days. It’s simply an entertaining robot that does fairly simple things, such as playing music, saying some words and shooting Ping-Pong balls using a pressurized gun.

Paul Hoc is the world’s first robotic artist. What it needs is just a pen, and it’ll then start drawing on a piece of paper and it’ll never get tired. The robot could probably be used to replace human for creating art, especially good for creating deign and engineering drawings etc.

The Japanese company, Little Island, creates a robot based on the picture you send them and it costs you $2,215 for having them to create this Mini Me robot for you.
