The Motorola Droid is available from Verizon for $199.99 for 2-year contract and includes a mail-in $100 rebate. There is also a 12-month contract available which will cost you $269.99.

Other than that the HTC Droid Eris has also been made available today from Verizon costs $99.99 with a mail 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate. The HTC Droid Eris features a 3.2-inch capacitive touch display, a 5 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot, headphone jack, digital compass, voice dialing, GPS, full browser with Flash Lite, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, plus lots of Google services.

The SE Kurara is a smartphone that is based on the 5th edition of Symbian S60 and should be included in the SE’s Entertainment Unlimited line-up which is what the Aino and Satio belong to.

The photos of the SE Kurara obviously shows that it will come with a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, 8.1 megapixel camera, and the word HD at the back should tell that the smart phone is capable of recording video HD.

The Kurara should be announced in the first half of 2010. The Kurara is currently the internal code name, no official name has been given yet so it’d most likely be released under a different name next year.

The Samsung Saturn i6500 runs Android 1.5, will come equipped with WiFi connectivity which has been confirmed with its WiFi Interoperability certification. The rest of the features of the Saturn i6500 should be similar to what the Samsung Galaxy i7500 has. Excepts it’s powered by an 800MHz processor instead of a 528MHz one.

The Saturn will come with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display that boasts a resolution of 320×480. Other goodies will be HSPA, GPS, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. Unfortunately, no pictures to show how the Saturn looks like. Hope it won’t carry a ring. The Saturn should be released some time next year (2010) with a price around $442.

The Bold 9700 has got a 3.2 megapixel camera, the screen resolution is 480×360 instead of 480×320, and it’s to run the latest BlackBerry OS version 5.0. The 9700 has also taken out the usual trackball found on most previous models of BlackBerrys and replaced it with an optical trackpad that was first started by Curve 8520.

The BlackBerry Bold will support tri-band 900 / 1700 / 2100 and quad-band 800 / 850 / 1900 / 2100MHz 3G, which is a perfect fit for AT&T, T-mobile and a multitude networks in Canada and Europe.

No specific carrier has been announced by RIM for the 9700, but leaving us with teaser claiming that it’ll come to all carriers worldwide in November.

Despite the sliding feature and the QWERTY, the Droid comes in very slim body that is only slightly thicker than the iPhone 3GS. As mentioned the BlackBerry Bluetooth watch lets you receive notifications or messages that have arrived on your BlackBerry smart phone. This watch features a nice OLED display that should make it prominent enough for you to be alerted of your messages. This Bluetooth watch might be named BlackBerry inPulse, which sounds like getting your wrist pulse to stay fully alerted with your incoming messages. But the name isn’t confirmed yet and there is no info on the pricing and availability.

Japanese FreeBit has announced the Serversman Cloud storage application for Windows Mobile phones. The Cloud storage app allows Windows mobile phones to publish and share data via the Internet and data can then be accessed in the phone using a web browser.

At serversman.com, users will get an account for uploading, sharing and downloading various contents including documents, music, videos, spreadsheets, presentations etc. Serversman has also got a web service that supports various mash-ups pulling or sharing content from it. Users need only install ServersMan and complete the easy registration process. FreeBit assigns an IPv6 global address to each ServersMan. Any type of connection is acceptable because FreeBit’s Cloud Switch technology automatically switches between Local IP and Global IP.

To use ServersMan@Windows Mobile 2.1?, Windows Mobile 6.0/6.1/6.5 (Professional or Classic) is required. This software is also available for downloading from ServersMan.com.

The back of this camera phone makes it to look like a real camera instead of a phone. The SCH-W880 also supports a number of shooting functionalities such as 6x digital zoom, image stabilization, touch auto focus, face detection, xenon flash and some more capable of 720p video recording at 30fps.

The Samsung AMOLED SCH-W880 will be available in South Korea in early October but the pricing information has not been announced yet. These isn’t any indication either whether the phone will go to other countries.

It’s always a great idea to constantly backup your contacts to a remote site. The iDrive Lite with the remote secure server, just does the right thing for you. Backing up the contacts on your BlackBerry is simply a tap of the button on the app. And when you’ve mistakenly deleted a contact on your BlackBerry, you can then simply tap the “Restore” button on the iDrive Lite app to restore the deleted contact.

The iDrive Lite app provides a couple of restore options such as Restore all (restore all without wiping existing contacts), selective store, clean slate restore (cleans all contact first before restoring) and restore from another device.

The iDrive Lite app can be obtained from the BlackBerry App World. There is also a version of iDrive Lite made for the iPhone, which you can get it from the iDrive website. And iDrive also provides other versions of iDrive app, which allows you to backup more data instead of only contacts, but costs you a monthly subscription fee.

The T-Mobile Pulse has passed the FCC and is slated for a Dutch release in October this year.
