MiFi is a pocket-sized HSPA-based 3G router which allows the user to bring along, hook up to 3G/HSPA Internet connection and share with the friends on the run. The MiFi pocket router is the product of Novatel, has now had new features added, which are the support of Eye-Fi, VPN and NAS. These new features require the MiFi models that use an application processor found in the European MiFi 2352 and the MiFi 2372 distributed through AT&T and Rogers in North America.

Sony is currently working on wireless power transfer technology, which has achieved pretty promising result that can transfer up to 60 watt of electrical energy over half a meter distance. The efficiency falls around 80%, 60% with rectifier. Besides portable gadgets, home entertainment system such totally wireless HDTV is possible in the near future.
