All around the world its beginning to get noticed more and more. The Cd stores are fading out, sales of the hard copies are seeing a fall while sales off internet music sites such as Itunes are seeing a rise. Why is this? Because you, the consumer, as well as me, find it better to download the song for .99 cents, and I don’t see my mind changing on that to soon. What does this mean for the CD shops though?

Wii have the concerns that gamers might stay out of touch with the outside world due to too much gaming. In order to help gamers stay in touch with what’s happening in the outside world, they’ve just launched an online news service through its popular Wii console.
The Wii news channel features top news stories and photographs from The Associated Press. Consoles with a broadband Internet connection and the Opera Web browser will be able to access the free news channel, which will offer AP news in multiple languages. Japanese-language news will come from a separate agency.
The news channel is equiped with an interactive map, which gamers can easily zoon in and out of areas of the world. If you wanna focus on religional news or national news of the U.S, you just blow up the map of the U.S. No intention yet from Wii to put ads on the news channel.

Sony claimed that Blu-Ray was inpenetrable, but it’s now been cracked by some hardcore hackers, just last week. If you are new to Blu-Ray, here is a little explaination. Blu-Ray or Blu-Ray disc is the new generation of optical disc format, which enables recording, rewriting and playback of high-definition video (HD), as well as storing large amounts of data. The format offers more than five times the storage capacity of traditional DVDs and can hold up to 25GB on a single-layer disc and 50GB on a dual-layer disc.
The current report is only the partial crack, a full crack is just in a matter of days. Those geeks managed to take down the DRM wall and grasp the AACS encryption, just as they did on Toshiba’s HD format. It sounds like the more so-called uncrackable disc formats the industry trying to produce, the more these hackers are feeling challenged to crack it!

Scientists have found way to store images into just a photon. For those who know physics (quantum physics) well, you should know what a photon is. In plain English, a photon, which is an extremely tiny particle that makes up light.
Just imagine, images of thousands or millions of pixels can be stored only on a single photon, which means we’d get some kind of optical storage drive in the future (could be in few years time or shorter), which allows us to store tremendous amount of data!

Perhaps, for geeks like us, this is something that you really don’t wanna miss. The e-Toilet, which was unveiled by Bill Gates, if you really can’t let go of surfing the net, even just to spend few minutes in the toilet, this is a must-have.
