Of course, the RENASYS GO does not playback your tunes, it only sucks at your gross wound. It should be a pretty handy device for some diabetic sufferers who need to be on the run for some unknown reasons. So this portable device is best used to suck at those diabetic ulcers. NANO BREATH cell phone checks breath for diseases

If you’re a health-conscious geek, you may like the idea of having a cellphone to check your breath for diseases as well as checking others’ breath before the diseases transmitted to you.

Applied Nanodetectors Ltd. (AND) is currently working on a prototype of a cell phone that can detect bad gases and from that on it can tell whether you’re a carrier of any diseases.

This cell phone simply checks the breath of the users to detect those gases. The phone has a chip that is integrated with various sensors that are sensitive enough to detect bad gases in the bad breath. It just takes minutes for the cell phone to trace the mentioned gases.

Snip Doctor – a handheld device to predict patients’ negative response to medication

In the past, there was no easy way to test out if a patient has any adverse reactions to prescribed medication. NHS has reportedly spent £460 million to treat 250,000 patients who are admitted to hospital due to adverse reactions to prescribed drugs.

Thanks to Imperial College London, they’ve successfully developed a handheld device that makes use of the analysis of genetical information, DNA, to predict if a patient would have any adverse reactions to any drugs to be prescribed.

The handheld device is called Single Nucleotide Polymorphism Doctor or SNP Dr in short and can be pronounced “snip doctor”. The device is able to identify the presence of specific DNA sequences in a patient’s genome, which might be the cause of any adverse reactions to certain medications.
