Electro reflexologist - having your own food massage anytime at home
Our life is always associated with stress. Accumulated stress will likely cause lactic acid built up on your body muscles, which will then result pain and aches everywhere. In other words, we call it having toxic in our body. One of the efficient methods to remove toxic from our body is make use of food foot massaging or reflexology. This is the Eastern medicinal concepts, which tells that our food foot and hands are full of nerve points that connect to all the major organs in our body. Having all these nerve points stimulated by massaging will boost your blood flow in your body. To have food foot massaging, we normally have to go to those foot food massage house to get a qualified masseur to do it for you. As you can’t simply do it at home. Someone like me, who is really a busy guy, having no much time left to visit these massage houses. Of course, you need to have it regularily in order to see the best result.

Anyway, FrontGate’s got a pretty cool electronic foot food massaging gadget, the Electro-Reflexologist, which allows you to do your own foot food massaging anytime you like at home. The Electro-Reflexologist allows you to easily adjust the strength of the massaging pattern, such as its speed and the wave form to suit you. It’s got 15 pre-programed wave forms to choose from, which the intensity can also be adjusted from 1 to 99. It also includes an electrode/cable pack to stimulate specific body points for spot relief from aches, numbness or swelling. Having this is pretty handy, which you can have foot food massaging anytime at home or even in the office. Even though when you’re having your full concerntration on reading TechChee, you could simply leave it under your desk, have it on and leave your foot on it for the best soothing effect.

There is a correction for this post, all the “food” has been replaced by “foot” now. So sorry, guys, I was starving when I was typing this post..as I didn’t have time to have my breakfast, furthermore in rush to catch up for my next meeting. Perhaps, in my mind I wanna massage the “food” before I put them in my mouth. Big thanks to the TheYoungGuy, at least you stay much more awake than I do.. Anymore “food” I missed out here?

Siemen’s RFID surgical sponges

April 7th, 2007 by ketyung

Siemen's RFID surgical sponges
Surgeons and hospital staff also belong to group who their life and work are associated with high stress, which make them also the forgetful ones. I have heard quite a number of cases that instrument or sponges left behind the patients’ body during surgery, which mostly caused them profound pain almost like dying. In order to avoid this happen again, doctors will make use of RFID technology, which they’re going to attach RFID chips to surgical sponges and then waved a wand over a patient after surgery. The chips will alert the doctor if a sponge was left inside the patients’ body.

Siemens and other companies are now working out the surgical sponges that are equiped with RFID chips, which hospitals can just use RFID readers to wand the patients before releasing them from the operation room.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation Mouse
This is not meant to be laughed. As I mentioned before geeks like us always lack of some kind of execise. Therefore, we’d be the group at high risk developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT). The Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) Mouse, besides it works as a mouse, while using it, you can just strap the 2 pads that come with it on any part of your body, to give you a nice tone-up.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) Mouse
For its mouse function, it is a high spec optical mouse with 800dpi resolution. As pictured, it looks exactly like standard mouse. To have the EMS to work, you just need to connect the pad cable to it. While using it as a mouse, the EMS system works as well simultaneously. There are two buttons on the mouse, which the at the bottom is for the power on/off for the EMS. Whereas the one on top is for controlling the 3 simulation modes. Furthermore, the simulation level can be adjusted by pushing plus and minus switches on the side of the mouse. So, anytime, just strap the pads on your tummy, you shoulder or your back, then you’re able to tone them up without getting attention to others. It’s got built-in auto-power-off feature, which automatically shuts off in one hour, if your forget to turn the power off. Of course, it takes power from your PC’s USB port. It includes 2 sets of pads, pad case, pad cable and of course the mouse.

Geeks who always stay in front of PC’s monitor is undeniably lacking some exercises. Even though we have no much execise in our daily life, we also need to take good care of our health by using some other methods. Besides having good exercise, some other methods to keep ourselves fit would be having good discipline for our daily food and water comsumption and staying alert with consistent health checking.

Now just on your wrist, you could monitor your own body condition. Just strap the Body Watch to your wrist and it will show you the level of your body fat, body water as well as your Body Mass Index or BMI. Using this water, you’ll have the best guideline about the daily consumption of water and calorie to help you stay fit.
