QStarz has unveiled a new GPS data logger, BT-Q1000X, which is claimed to be the most powerful of its kind. The device is claimed to be able to store up to 200,000 GPS points.

AvMap has got a new sat nav device, Geosat 6, which has put some emphasis on safety driving. The device is equipped with “Drive Safe” alcohol sensor, which works similar to the robotic teddy bear, warns you when you’ve got too drunk to drive home.

Some people would like to have soft toys hanging around in the cars. Such as teddy bear is one of those most popular ones, to be sitting next to driver. iXs Research Corporation has now turned the teddy into something more useful. Besides being just a cuddly bear sitting in your car, it now can show you the directions to get to your destinations.
iXs Research has produced a prototype of the robotic teddy, which stands 30 cm tall and has 6 joints in its arms and neck. The robotic teddy can make gestures and speak out the directions for you to find your way home.

Perhaps you’d think most sat nav devices are the same, which there would be no classification between them, and the main purpose is to guide you to find your way out. But a sat nav device that simply shows the road map, the directions and where you should make turns etc, will not be sufficient for some bigger-size vehicles, such as a truck.

Although USB HSPA/3G modems are commonly available these days, but it’d be nice if your laptop had come with one integrated, which you don’t have to spend extra bucks just to get one. And it always sticks on your laptop, which forgetting to bring one along is not a problem anymore while you’re traveling.
