Starry night, learn the stories behind the constellations

January 5th, 2007 by ketyung

The constellation of Orion SkyScout , tell the stories behind the constellations SkyScout
I was told that each constellation is associated with one or more stories. It’s really so much fun that you can learn through the constellations in the sky in the starry nights. I used to do that when I was in school. I had to always check out and borrow those astronomy books from the school library and then lie down on my uncle’s pickup bed to study the constellations in the clear night sky.

BMW mistery gadget

January 3rd, 2007 by ketyung

BMW Mistery Gadget Gadget by BMW BMW Mistery gadget
I’m really such an ignorant guy! This is the first time that I get to know that BMW is producing gadgets. I’d always thought that BMW was a car manufacturer, which thier cars are quite well-known and in the range of the luxuries in our country. Here is the little mistery gadget by BMW, and noone yet knows what it is. It could be a digital music player or a multimedia-capable. According to GizModo, it comes with with a 65k color LCD. It has no GPS, but with Bluetooth and voice recognition. Isn’t it the car market too competitive to have caused BMW squeezed into competing in the gadgets world?

Take a look at the product page and make a guess on the flash presentation slide. BMW plans to release by mid of this month.

Dracula-like verball (VOIP Phone)

January 2nd, 2007 by ketyung

Verball VOIP phome
This little verball allows you to chat to your friends anywhere in the world for free. It’s a VOIP phone, which works best with Skype. I do not like the little dracula-like look, especially with its fangs. When someone is calling, its horns light up and its arrms wave. When you are chatting to your friend via it, its mouth will be moving (together with its fangs). It would be fun using it talking to someone you hate as if talking to a dracula!

Easy-to-use, it doesn’t need batteries (USB-powered). It works with most messaging programs (Yahoo, AOL, MSN etc) but best with Skype. It has a speaker and a hands free microphone, which make chatting to your friends over the world so easily!

Some weird gadgets of 2006! Happy new year, see you all in 2007!

December 31st, 2006 by ketyung

ICool Mp3 Player H-racer Hydro Car
There are still couple of hours before we say goodbye to 2006. Lets take a look at some of the weird gadgets that had hit the market in 2006. I have just picked up 5 out of the 25 that I like most from TechDigest.tv’s list and added two more here:

1. Scratch n sniff MP3 player – This little iCool MP3 player from Japan, which has food-aroma. You have a choice of smell from chocolate, roses, lemon, strawberry, raspberry or blueberry.

2. Nabaztag - This little cute bunny is also in JRConnelly’s list as he fears any machine that’s better at Internet browsing than him. I personally think that this is quite a helpful one.

3. H-racer, the hydrogen car, a futuristic toy car that uses the technology that could power a full-size car in the future. It operates on 100% clean fuel produced by a miniature solar-powered hydrogen refuelling station – which converts water to hydrogen using energy captured from the sun.No combustion occurs inside the hydrogen fuel cell. The only exhaust discharge is pure water. It is really great modeling of the future polution-free vehicles!

4. Nimzy Vibro Blaster, a little gadget that turns any flat surface- wood, plastic, glass etc – into a loudspeaker.

5. Handmade beating heart, just a cushion-like “My Beating Heart”. It syncs to your own heartbeat, makes you calm and happy!

6. IBuzz, simply a sex toy, which makes use of the hot name of iPod to hit the market. Its funtion is the louder you play your iPod’s music, the faster it vibrates!

7. BreathCapture, a test-tube-like pendant, which lets you capture the stinking breath of your loved one and bring it along, so you can smell it anytime, anywhere.

Happy new year ! See you in 2007!
