The Virtual Butler can be connected to various home security gadgets including cameras, doors and alarms etc to receive feeds from them. And then alerts you with its scary face on the mirror.

This seems like what’s been in fairy tale, where the mirror of the wall could tell what’s happening around you. The Virtual Butler mirror is able to screen the video feeds, which allow you to see the unannounced irritating guest at the door on the living room screen which you can then decide whether to let the person in or not.

This Butler’s magic mirror is not restricted to home security system. It also serves as a good reminder for future events and activities. Such as it can alert you when the Jacuzzi is fully heated, remind you of your upcoming appointments and some more alerts you when someone leaves home on the sly.

The Virtual Butler costs $20,000, is meant for the super rich geeks, who wish to have an unusual way to be reminded and alerted any current and future events. Perhaps, those who’re too lonely may find this mirror little useful as it shows you with a face as if you have someone to talk to.

The HypnosEye can now let you project directly of what are on the iPhone screen. And of course it works with the iPod Touch, and other mobile gadgets as well.

The device does not take the video signal from the iPhone, what it does is only the analog way of projection. By sliding your iPhone into it, it can simply blow up the image on the iPhone screen onto a projection surface. This kind of projection will definitely not give you much brightness.

But the makers of HypnosEye claim you’ll be able to get an projected image size from 17 inch to 45 inch diagonally from a distance of half to 2 meters away. This should be good enough when you want to project what is on your phone and the setup should be much quicker than having to hook up an external projector to the iPhone.

The HypnosEye kit comes included with the projection lens and a portable 17-inch diagonal projection surface. It’s available at Japan Trend Shop and runs you about $80, a price that is much cheaper than any portable projectors in the market. Watch the device in action in the clip below.

The USB port of your computer provides the power for this hurricane lamp, keeps its flame changing in different color patterns and ensures it never gets blown out.

Adventurous geeks may wanna bring one of these USB hurricane lamps with you for your next jungle exploration trip. But be sure to bring along your laptop or netbook in order to light the lamp up. The lamp uses LED bulbs which shouldn’t take up too much power. Unfortunately, it can’t be powered by batteries, thus loses the portability.

Other goodies include a 2-megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and GSM EDGE (no 3G) connectivity. Obviously, the phone’s UI poses very close similarity to what the iPhone has, but it actually boots into an Android 1.5.

The Aphone A6 should be from the mainland of cloned phones, China. Perhaps you’d be able to get it in the streets of China.

It’s time to start eying some gadgets that could keep you warm. As usual Thanko is one of those few carrying a number of USB powered warmers. As shown is a pair of USB powered gloves that can keep your two hands and fingers warm but leaving your fingertips exposed, allowing you to type without losing any sensitivity.

The little question is wearing USB gloves, having a wire connected to the USB port may hinder you from typing as comfortably as while without them. It’d be much more convenient if they could get cordless, such as having an internal battery rechargeable via the USB port And you could then detach the connection once the battery gets full, so you could type more freely.

Anyway, these USB gloves are available in two colors, black and white. The black is recommended for men while the white is recommended for women. People living outside Japan can get the gloves from Geekstuff4u store as Thanko has closed their English online store.

In fact, it’s a 3-in-1 gadget that features three USB ports, a little digital clock face to tell time and also works as a memory card reader.

The design of this 3-in-1 gadget seems to have little problem. Apparently, in the picture, the three USB ports are found at the bottom of the device, which you need to turn it over and flip the connectors out to connect to your USB devices. But while keeping the three USB ports connected with gadgets, the clock face will need to face down, which will not allow the user to read the time. This could be the little sacrifice in order to clam all the three functions into a desktop washing machine.

A new kind of fabric called the Sonic Fabric which is made from 50% colored thread and 50% recorded audio cassette tape. And this fabric has been used to make some neckties, which can carry some tunes and you can even listen to the tunes on the neckties.

To listen to the incomplete or scrambled tunes on the neckties, what you need to is to sacrifice an old walkman. Take the front cover off, stick the magnetic playhead out with helps of some glue and clothespin, plug in headphones into the walkman, rub the playhead along the surface of your necktie. Watch the clip below how it’s done.

These audible neckties will run you $90, but they may be useful when you’ve got too bored with your days, which you can then ready your screw drivers, sabotage an old walkman and listen to some tunes on the neckties.

Here comes the Start Your Engine Alarm Clock, which awakens you with the exhilarating sound of a high-powered V8 engine. If you choose to keep your butt sticking to the bed, the Engine alarm clock will increase its RPM when it cycles through four gears to top speed, and the engine sound will grow in pitch and intensity along until you press the snooze button.

This alarm clock has been designed with great details of a car, where there is a tachometer surrounding the digital time window that shows a needle moving when the RPM increases to its redline of 6,000 rpm. It also features a headlight, which is actually a button when gets pressed to get the time and tachometer display illuminated for easy viewing at night. It also includes an AM/FM radio.

The most amazing part is it uses the person standing on it as the tuner and antenna to tune into the radio stations.

The Carpet Radio is not just a concept, it a fully functional radio and a carpet that is up and running but it’s not being sold yet. The idea is cool, presenting you a comfortable carpet for you to sit on it and it can start searching and getting tuned into radio stations for you.

It’s unsure whether this Carpet Radio will get confused when you have more than one person stepping on it. But I believe it won’t, perhaps it’ll even increase its signal reception strength as it’s got more antennas.

Todays technology advances at such a speed that often consumers are left in awe of it all. The high tech terminology, the ultra small, ultra portable, metallic or white devides we carry around with us are, to the vast amount of consumers, simply baffling. The Wifi Dowsing Rod aims to work against this. By basing the design for a wireless internet detector on century’s old technology, the user feels immediately at home with the product, whilst feeling less intimidated by the simple shape and natural materials

And a little more fun is the clock projects the time and temperature on the wall. When you have your hands approaching the top or the two sides of the clock, the clock shall respond accordingly and have the projected digital figure changing according to your hand commands. You can change the projection angle for up to 60 degrees and also change the light up in any one of the 5 different colors. I repeat, it’s fun one, great for killing some time.

Here comes the BloodBot, a robot that is specially made for drawing blood from the donors or patients.

The BloodBot consists only an arm with a needle and a probe. This robot probes around your arm until it finds an area of flesh that is less squishy than the rest, and it’ll then jab you with a needle. Unfortunately, this robot has only 78% of accuracy, which would mean it could do something very wrong when it’s inaccurate. Apparently, only brave souls are willing to hand the destiny of their arms to this robot.

It has a little pump, stands on top of a 1-liter tank that comes with it. It can be either connected to your computer’s USB port or powered by batteries. It’ll start peeing when a button is pressed.

The only worry is it’ll get water all over your computer and gadgets, and you’d face risk of getting electrocuted. It has a name called Shoubenkozou, is available in four colors, costs only $20 and currently available in Japan only. Those who live outside of Japan, will likely be able to get it from the English version of Thanko online store later.
