The Virtual Butler mirror is able to screen the video feeds, which allow you to see the unannounced irritating guest at the door on the living room screen which you can then decide whether to let the person in or not.

This Butler’s magic mirror is not restricted to home security system. It also serves as a good reminder for future events and activities. Such as it can alert you when the Jacuzzi is fully heated, remind you of your upcoming appointments and some more alerts you when someone leaves home on the sly.

The Virtual Butler costs $20,000, is meant for the super rich geeks, who wish to have an unusual way to be reminded and alerted any current and future events. Perhaps, those who’re too lonely may find this mirror little useful as it shows you with a face as if you have someone to talk to.

The device does not take the video signal from the iPhone, what it does is only the analog way of projection. By sliding your iPhone into it, it can simply blow up the image on the iPhone screen onto a projection surface. This kind of projection will definitely not give you much brightness.

But the makers of HypnosEye claim you’ll be able to get an projected image size from 17 inch to 45 inch diagonally from a distance of half to 2 meters away. This should be good enough when you want to project what is on your phone and the setup should be much quicker than having to hook up an external projector to the iPhone.

The HypnosEye kit comes included with the projection lens and a portable 17-inch diagonal projection surface. It’s available at Japan Trend Shop and runs you about $80, a price that is much cheaper than any portable projectors in the market. Watch the device in action in the clip below.

The little question is wearing USB gloves, having a wire connected to the USB port may hinder you from typing as comfortably as while without them. Apparently, in the picture, the three USB ports are found at the bottom of the device, which you need to turn it over and flip the connectors out to connect to your USB devices.
