Panasonic has announced a new Micro Four Third HD camcorder which is known as AF105 (AF100 in Europe). The AF105 is the world’s first camcorder that offers a Four-Thirds sized sensor and the capabilities of recording AVCHD video in 1080/60i or 1080/30p.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography has been made available on the iOS 4.1 which is a feature that captures images using three different exposures and merge them to bring out the dark and light spots on a picture to make all details visible. Unfortunately, such as useful feature has been restricted by Apple to be usable on the iPhone 4 only.

The Samsung NX100 camera has got some official press pictures leaked before it’s officially announced. This camera is the smallest mirrorless interchangeable camera of the company to date. The Samsung NX100 will come with a 20-50mm f3.5-5.6 lens that will give it a 2.5x zoom only but with shorter footprint when the lens is attached.

Pixavi has released a new rugged video camera in its line. Called the Xcorder EX4000, this rugged camera is ATEX and IECex Zone1 and Zone 2 certified and features an 8-megapixel high-end CMOS sensor that makes it good enough to record video at 720p HD onto its internal memory or wirelessly to a network share.

Kodak has announced two new camcorders which are the Playtouch 1080p pocket camcorder and EasyShare M590 point and shoot. The PlayTouch is priced at $230 and capable of shooting 1080p video with stereo audio directly to SDHC memory cards and is backed by image stabilzation technology.

Sanyo has got a new pocket HD camcorder, Xacti VPC PD2BK which is dubbed as the Flip killer. The Sanyo camcorder is capable of recording in full HD 1080p video. Currently, it hasn’t had its full specs revealed but from the pictures it’s kind of obvious that this Sanyo HD camcorder packs 10-megapixel sensor, 3X optical zoom and dual microphones.
