Sony’s been showing off some new digital cameras in its product lines. I’ve been a bit late of doing any catch-up. But at least, we need to look at this, the Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-G1 digital camera. A digital camera, first in its product line, which allows transmission or sharing of images wirelessly to other cameras and PCs. It uses Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) technology to share and transmit photos to other DLNA-compatible electronic devices wirelessly.

While taking a first peek at the Olympus SP-550UZ, you’d have thought that it’s one kind of those ordinary digital cameras. After taking a closer look and you’d have noticed the sticker on the front, telling you that it’s got 18x optical zoom. Having an 18-x powerful optical zoom, it’s undeniable that this camera serves as the best tool for paparazzi. Those chasing for celebrities’ gossip, now you can just simply hide yourself far at the corner, sit back and relaxed, take the best snap shots of any celebrities’ ugliest moments then make the breaking headlines.
Additional features include a 7.1 megapixel sensor, an SD card slot, 21MB of internal memory, and support up to ISO5000. No words for pricing yet.

Mio is going to release a new GPS-enabled Pocket PC phone in March this year, the Mio A501. This phone looks a bit shorter compared to some other Mio models as if it has no butt! Despite its dwarf nature, it’s got same features as others, such as same size, a screen of 240×320 and will only weigh 135 grams with battery and run Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC Phone Edition AKU 3.5 on a TI processor.
The Mio A501 is a quad-band GSM phone with bluetooth support, with both USB port and SD/MMC slots. The system of course comes with an embedded GPS chip, namely the SiRF Star III. The battery’s capacity is 1050mAh. It’s also got a 2MP digital camera.

The new digital camera of Samsung’s, the i7, is not only a camera. It’s both the combination of a digital camera and a portable media player (PMP). As a digital camera, it features 7.2 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, a maximum ISO of 1600, and advanced shake reduction (ASR). As a PMP, it features a 3-inch LCD screen that can rotate 180º, the ability to record and play SVGA-quality MPEG-4 videos, and, of course, MP3 playback.
Something is puzzling here, i.e why there is a need for a rotating LCD? Isn’t it turning the entire gadget aslo getting the same effect? To me, Samsung’s product is always well-known of innovative and stylish design. My first guess is the rotating effect will give a bit of robotic-motion feeling to you. Perhaps, once you have a light push on the LCD itself or just press a button, it will rotate and give you a slow-motion or robotic kind of movement. Well, we’re now in the robotic era, that’s how the Korean company stay innovative in the gadgets line.
