ACVHD cameras are cameras capable of recording and playback high-def videos. And the ACVHD format has been jointly developed by Panasonic and Sony. Sony DVDirect Burner is also a DVD burner that can be connected to video cam and allows ACVHD recording.

The burner can also be used for DVD replication for videos as well as converting HD videos to SD ones. The Panasonic VW-BN2 is able to provide a maximum speed of 8x for DVD ±R and 4x for DVD ±DL. It will be sold in Japan in December for a price of 25000 Yen or about $278.

The SE Satio only measures about 13 mm in thickness but the 12.1 megapixel camera of this phone comes with a built-in cover that adds little thickness to it. The Satio is also similar to the SE Aino which is good in both the camera and music.

For photo and video shooting the Satio is equipped with a nice lens, assisted by Xenon flash and video light allows shooting pictures and video in low-light condition without problem. It also supports face detection, smile detection, touch focus, 12x digital zoom and image stabilization which are features commonly found on high-end digital cameras.

The Satio is equipped with a TFT 3.5 inch screen that boasts a resolution of 360×640 pixels. The screen is a touchscreen capable of 16 million colors, and the phone has a stylus that comes attached on a lanyard. The Symbian S60 5th edition is sensitive enough for your fingers, so it’s not a must to use a stylus on this phone. The phone UI also presents you an onscreen keyboard for texting and an onscreen number pad for makimng calls.

The Cerevo Camera comes with a 9-megapixel CMOS sensor and some basic controls, but it supports the wireless N (802.11n WiFi) for automatic upload of photos to the Internet. This digital camera can send photos to the Cerevo’s own photo-host, CerevoLife, which provides free 5GB of storage for every user (around 4,000 pictures). Or alternatively, it can also shoot those photos to other social media sites such as Flickr, Picasa or Twitter-oriented photo-hosts.

The CerevoCam is pocket-sized, has a USB port and can also connect to 3G HSPA network by hooking it with a USB 3G modem, allowing the user to do their uploads via 3G, useful in areas where they can’t find any WiFi access.

Other features include a 2.4 inch preview LCD and a microSD card slot are the efforts of keeping this camera in compact size. The CerevoCam is scheduled for a launch either in late October or early November, but only in Japan, for a price of $210 and will come with the black and white versions. Luckily, these cameras have an English interface, hinting that they will reach other countries soon afterwards.

The two models have only one difference between them which is they use different recording media. The HDC-SD10 records to an SDHC/SD Memory Card, while the HDC-TM10 is a Twin memory type which is capable of recording to both an 8GB built-in Memory and an SDHC/SD Memory Card.
