The Hybrid motherboard is a new concept that allows you to have two computers on one mobo. This hybrid mobo supports two completely different configurations that you can switch between. You can also do some other interesting things on this hybrid motherboard, such as high and lower power thing, having two different types of processors running and more. Pliant Technology, a relatively new startup (a three-year-old) has produced a 3.5-inch Enterprise-grade SSD which can deliver read and write speeds of 500MB/sec and 320MB/sec respectively. These are equivalent to copying contents of a 2Tb drive in around an hour only.

HP has announced a new line of laptops, called the Envy which have been crowned as the thinnest laptops that the company has ever produced. These laptops will initially be available in two models which are the models with 13.1 and 15.1 inch backlit LED screens.

CableCARD tuners were previously available on OEM computers only, which it can only be purchased as an optional item to be shipped with the system. But now, Microsoft has announced at a Windows Media Center keynote at CEDIA, CableCard tuners are freely available as an aftermarket accessory, meaning you can easily purchase this tuner to be added into your existing or old PC.

Sony has unveiled their latest laptop, VAIOX to the VAIO family at IFA 2009. The VAIOX laptop is pretty thin, measures only half a inch in thickness and it’s got a screen size measures 11.1 inch, so you can imagine that it’s just slightly bigger than a 10-inch netbook.
