Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc announced with Reality Display and Mobile BRAVIA Engine

Sony Ericsson has announced the newest smartphone in its line, known as the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. The handset measures only a mere 8.7mm in thickness at its thinnest part but it manages to cram in an extra wide 4.2-inch multi-touch Reality Display with Mobile Bravia engine.

Sprint announces HTC EVO Shift 4G and Novatel 3G/4G MiFi

Sprint has officially announced the HTC EVO Shift 4G smartphone and the Novatel 3G/4G mobile hotpot device. The HTC EVO Shift 4G handset is expected to arrive on January 9 and priced at $150, while the 4G MiFi will be available on February 27 for $50.

HTC Thunderbolt 4G LTE smartphone leaked

The latest 4G LTE smartphone of HTC, known as HTC Thunderbolt 4G LTE, has had some specs leaked. The leaked specs reveal that the handset will be powered by a super fast Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core processor 1.2 GHz. It’ll also pack a large 4.3-inch display with 16.78 million colors and run the Android Gingerbread 2.3 OS.

Android A918 phone claims to be iPhone beater with its more accurate GLONASS GPS system

There are many smart phones wanting to beat the iPhone in terms of features. The latest-claimed “iPhone beater” is an Android phone called A918, made by ZTE and the Russian AFK Sistema. The handset features the GLONASS GPS system that is claimed to provide 93% of accuracy, versus the 64% accuracy rate of the iPhone.

The LG C310 handset is an affordable handset that sports similarities to the LG C300 Town and the major difference is the former packs dual SIM capability while the latter doesn’t.

NFC sticker turns the iPhone into mobile payment device

The Japanese Softbank has a much smarter way to turn your iPhone into a mobile payment device by simply sticking an NFC (Near-Field Communications) sticker at its back. This is definitely much simpler than having to house your iPhone in a visa payment case for contactless payment.

I Am Rich app now headed to Windows Phone 7 for $499 only

There was a silly iPhone app called I Am Rich which cost $1,000, but does nothing except presenting a rotating red gem stone on the iPhone screen. The “I Am Rich” wasn’t fruitful to last very long on the iOS. But it seems now it’s made a comeback by targeting itself at the Windows Phone 7 platform.
