The Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 has been officially announced. The handset was first referred as Samsung Galaxy S Mini with some specs and pictures having surfaced earlier. The Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 features a 3.5-inch HVGA (320×480) touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and is powered by an 800MHz processor.

NFC payments have earlier rolled out in S. Korea and Japan but it’s still pretty new in the US while operators are still prepping their networks to be ready for the NFC payments. The first NFC-supported device is the Google Nexus S, putting Apple behind for rolling out NFC-enabled devices in the US market.

Nokia has been pretty quiet recently but rumors claim that it’ll finally launch a serious smartphone in its line, known as the Nokia N9 at Mobile World Congress at Barcelona. The Nokia N9 is said to be powered by an Intel 1.2GHz processor which is also suspected to be a Moorestown platform (a system on a chip with an Atom processor core).

What is shown here is the Sony Ericsson Hallon smartphone which is also referred as Sony Ericsson Vivaz 2 or MT15i. A prototype of this smartphone has been previewed by Mobile-review.com before its official announcement. The handset was found offering more than just a Sony Ericsson Vivaz with a swap of its Symbian OS for Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Samsung has achieved a pretty good sales figure for its Samsung S5230 aka Samsung Star, with 30 million units shipped, after its launch back in March 2009. Now the company is ready for an upgrade for this handset, going to release the second version of the Samsung Star which is known as Samsung Star II.

Again BGR have got some leaked images and specs of the yet to be officially announced BlackBerry Storm 3 smartphone. The BlackBerry Storm 3 is meant to be addressing the disappointment brought by the BlackBerry Storm. The Storm 3 is a touchscreen device which packs good specs allowing it to have head-to-head race with iOS devices or Android smart phones.

The Motorola Atrix 4G is one of the many 4G smartphones to be headed to the US operators. The Atrix 4G handset was shown off at CES 2011. The handset packs an amazingly powerful a Tegra dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and a micro SDHC card slot that supports up to 48GB of memory. The latest excitement about this handset is it’s very likely to be launched on the AT&T on March 1st 2011, according to some leaked AT&T internal documents.
