LG has officially announced its LG Optimus 3D Android smartphone. The handset offers dual cameras and parallax barrier display. The 3D effect depends on parallax barrier, similar to Nintendo 3DS, which does not require you to wear special 3D glasses for viewing the 3D images.

HTC has refreshed its entry-level phone by having announced the HTC Wildfire S which now comes with Android 2.4 or Gingerbread. The handset has been modified for its form factor, losing some bulk of its predecessor as well as the optical pad. It’s also been given a new HVGA display that allows it to be compatible with apps in the Android market.

HTC has launched two new Facebook-oriented smartphones, known as the HTC Salsa and ChaCha at MWC. The specialty of the two HTC phones is they come with a dedicated button for Facebook. Although they’re not yet officially qualified as Facebook phones, but the dedicated button allows users to have quick access to their Facebook page and receive social updates by just having a click.

There will be lots of smartphones to be unveiled at MWC 2011. Motorola Pro is one of them that has just been unveiled. The Motorola Pro is an Android smartphone that comes with lots of features aimed at business users but consumers should also find it useful as well. The Motorola Pro runs Android 2.2 Froyo, is powered by a 1GHz processor along with an internal storage of 2GB that is also expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The data on the SD card can be encrypted and even erased remotely when necessary.

HP has also jumped on the same bandwagon of making smartphones by having unveiled two new smartphones called the HP Pre 3 and HP Veer which run webOS 2.2. This should be the result of HP having acquired Palm for $1.2 billion. The HP Pre 3 smartphone comes equipped with a 3.6-inch display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels and a slide-out QWERTY.

MetroPCS will have a new 4G LTE smartphone coming to its LTE network, known as the Samsung Galaxy Indulge. The Samsung Galaxy Indulge runs Android 2.2, packs decent specs and is able to tap on the 4G LTE network of MetroPCS to deliver high-speed data connectivity. The Indulge is said to be arriving at MetroPCS in a few days’ time but no specific date has been mentioned.
