The Elfoid was developed by Japan’s Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute (ATR), which aims to make communication more intimate and personal.

RIM to bring BlackBerry Messenger to iPhone and Android devices

RIM is said to bring BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) to the iOS and Android devices. Currently, there is no word about the price or when RIM will make the BBM available for the iPhone or Android devices. World’s thinnest smartphone, NEC MEDIAS N-04C to hit NTT DoCoMo on March 15

NEC’s MEDIAS N-04C which had some pictures leaked a few days ago, has now been confirmed as the world’s thinnest 3G smartphone that measures only 7.7mm thick. And it’ll be coming to NTT DoCoMo in Japan on March 15. The super thin MEDIAS N-04C is also super lightweight, at 105 grams, making it much thinner and lighter than a number of smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy S II and iPhone 4.

NEC MEDIAS E-04C Android smartphone measures 7.7mm thick at its thinnest point

NEC has readied a super slim Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone called the NEC MEDIAS E-04C, which is slated to hit Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo on February 24. The NEC MEDIAS E-04C should be much thinner almost most Android devices that we’re aware of, as it measures a mere 7.7mm at its thinnest point (e.g Samsung Galaxy S2 measures 8.49mm thick while the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc measures 8.9mm thick).
