Acer has an Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone in its line which is called Acer beTouch E140. The device belongs to the Acer beTouch series. The handset only packs moderate specs, including a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, WiFi, HSPA/HSUPA connectivity, FM radio, Bluetooth stereo, a 3.2 megapixel camera and a 600MHz processor.

Acer has also announced a new Android smartphone that packs a huge 4.8-inch 1024 x 480 display, trying to outshine other Android phones in the market. The large screen of this Acer Android phone is great for web browsing and movies. The handset packs a fast 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash and 720p HD video recording capability. There is also a 2-megapixel camera on the front for video calls.

Some photos have surfaced claiming to be the Motorola’s upcoming Nvidia Tegra 2 powered Android smartphone – the Motorola Olympus. The device in the picture looks pretty much like the Motorola Defy at first glance but with different volume controls on the right hand side and possibly a front-facing camera in the top bezel.
