There are tons of USB flash drives out there in the market. Most of them besides coming from different manufacturers and boasting different storage sizes, they all serve no difference. In order to make it more marketable, some manufacturers, just pre-install some kind of software onto it.

Here is an idea of AmberAlert, by adding a software program, called AmberAlert Child ID Kit (As the attached screen). This software allows you to store and organize the information of your child (biographical data, vital stats, relatives, places where they hang out, where they go online, etc.) in one location. It works only one child at a time. This idea is to let you have all the information to cling on if an unlucky abduction happened to your child. Touch wood! The USB drive itself is a Kingston’s product.

The Drowse Prevention Alarm works similarly to the two gadgets that we’ve seen before, the Drive Master and the Anti-Doze glasses. This little ear plug just costs you as little as $10.30, which could save your life if you’re the one prone to nodding off while driving. If your head tilt for almost 10 degree, then the alarm will buzz like a wake up kick. This greatly reduces the chance of you colliding into others’ vehicles that could result a fatal accident.
The gadget is battery-operated, which has three settings, they’re off, low or high. You have to know what setting suits you. Definitely, it’s not the “off” for those drivers prone to dozing off. Choose the “low” only if you’re feeling spiritual that day, else you will end up of lying in the hospital bed (If you’re lucky).

We’ve seen quite a number of USB gadgets. Maybe you already have some ingenious ideas of making use of these USB gadgets at every corner in your house. Such as the USB blanket, which you could just leave your PC on and have this blanket on you when you’re in bed to keep you warm during the cold winter nights. Or you wanna setup a USB webcam in your kids’ room, which you can then monitor them from the PC in your room. The limitation of the normal 6 feet USB cable would have let you down for doing all this. But now, with the mini USB-2 extender, which allows you to use any USB device up to 150 feet from the computer, all your brilliant ideas can be implemented!
The mini USB-2 extender uses CAT 5 cable to transmit the USB signal between your PC and the USB device. Some might like the idea of hiding your computer away in a closet, and running your display, mouse and keyboard anywhere in your house. The downside is this extender supports only USB 1.1.
