Asus has officially launched two new Eee PC netbooks, the Asus Eee 1015 and 1015PE. The new Eee PC netbooks are only different for their case colors and surfaces. The 1015P is only available in white, black and blue, whereas the 1015PE is available in pink and red, and is matte surface.

Another Windows XP smart phone has been spotted, called the Shanshui P72 XP Phone. The phone runs Windows XP and it can be used as a mini netbook as it has USB ports for connecting to a USB mouse and keyboard.

Sony has upgraded its ultra mobile PC, VAIO P, which now comes with a number of new interesting features. Such as, the new VAIO P will get an accelerometer which allows the user to browse through web sites, PDF, pictures by simply tilting the device left or right.

Google Chrome OS netbooks will not come in expensive prices, they’ll be priced around in range of $300 to $400 as the OS itself will not cost you a dime, it’s only the hardware and the technology that costs a price.
According to the announcement by CEO of Google [GOOG] Eric Schmidt, Google is not going to make any revenue from selling the software license of the Google Chrome OS. Instead, they’ll be able to grab their revenues from other means.

Acer has announced two new models of their Acer Aspire netbooks, the Aspire 1825PT and Aspire 1825PTZ, which will come with 11.6-inch capacitive touchscreen displays. Both models will come loaded with the Windows 7 Home Premium. The capacitive touchscreen displays definitely make them appealing and they’re the kind of netbook tablet convertibles, which we’ve seen a couple from some other companies.
