Have you been waiting for one of those Chrome OS-powered netbooks? Samsung has one in their line but it’s not official yet. The Samsung’s Chrome OS netbook is codenamed Samsung Alex, and has its specs revealed through some bug reports of the OS.

Intel has launched a new series of solid state drive, called the Intel SSD 310, which comes in tiny size that is suitable for use in netbbooks, notebooks, tablets and other portable devices. The Intel SSD 310 comes in the size about 1/8th of the size of Intel’s X25 SSDs but offering the same or better performance.

Google has announced the Google Chrome OS netbooks to be coming our way. A few interesting features of the Chrome-OS powered netbook have been demoed by Google including the ability to come back up from sleep almost instantly and the HTML 5 offline storage and app-running capabilities.

Toshiha has introduced two new models of its netbooks, NB500 and NB520. The two netbooks have been given a dual-core 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 processor and they’re capable of handling 720p video.
