What’s Force Touch? It’s a new technology that’s been introduced by Apple on its Apple Watch, which allows different pressures to be applied to the watch’s interface for different controls. Apple has yet brought this new feature to the iPhone yet. And it’s been rumored that the Force Touch would be the biggest feature of the upcoming iPhone 6S.

But now, ahead of Apple, Huawei has officially revealed the first smartphone that comes with the Force Touch capabilities, known as Mate S. This smartphone was first announced at IFA 2015, the biggest tech event in Euro and now it gets official.

The Force Touch on the Apple watch is to let you access the menus and more refined playback controls. While the Huawei Mate S makes use of this pressure-sensitive technology to allow itself to work like a scale i.e. you can weigh light objects on its touchscreen. This seems pretty interesting perhaps when you feel like knowing how much a piece of paper or a paper clip weighs, then you can turn to your Mate S smartphone to fund out.

Huawei doesn’t mention what the maximum weight that its touchscreen can withstand. So you’d better not put something that’s too heavy on it, which will get its screen cracked.

The Mate S packs quite a number of improved features including 5.5-in AMOLED Full HD screen, 3GB of RAM, 32GB storage space & up, 13MP rear-facing & 8MP front-facing cameras and a 2700 mAh non-removable battery.

It also features Fingerprint Sense 2.0 which responds faster and is more sensitive in self-learning functions which will improve recognition speeds by 100%. You can also make use of this feature to scroll through photos, snap selfies, dismiss alarm, pick a phone call, and control notifications. Last but not least, the phone supports dual SIM and will start at a price around $730 USD.
